WEDDING BELLS.

C LARKF—WILLIAMS. On .Monday last, October L'.’Srd, there was solemnised at St. .Mary’s Church, Hokitika, a very pretty wedding, the contracting parties being .Margaret, the third daughter of .Mr Fred Williams, ot Woheka, and Roliert, liftli sone of , is Clarke, of Arney street, Greymouth. The bride, who was given away by her lather, was charmingly attired in a rich gown of simple satin, with long court train ornamented with old lace. She also wore a beautifully worked veil, with the usual spray of orange blossoms. .Miss Clara Clarke, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride and wore a dress of saxe blue erepe-de-ebene with hat to match. The train bearers were Sheila -McGavin and Patsy Mcf • avin, niece and nephew of the bride. The bridegroom was attended by the bride’s brother, Mr Ffenry Williams, as groomsman. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev.' Father Riordan, of Ross, who was also the celebrant of the Nuptial -Mass. FTe was assisted by Rev. Dr. | Kennedy, of TTokitika. The Wedding 1 .March was played by Miss 0. Devancy. I After the ceermonv the guests adjourn- | e<l to Preston’s Ten Ttooms, where n i sumptuous wedding breakfast bad been ’ prepared. The toast of the newly-wed-ded couple was promised by Father, Riordan, and responded to by the \ bridegroom. The bridegroom’s present ; to the bride was a rich gold pendant. studded with rubies and diamonds, and , to the bridesmaid a handsome gold, brooch with rubies and pearls. Tbe ! bride’s present to tbo groom was a pair! of gold rosary beads in n golden case. Tbe. newly married couple left by tbe evening train for Christchurch, via j Nelson. Tbe bride’s travelling dress i was a dark grey, with an over-mantle ! of black seal.
