The first day of the Greymouth Trotting Ciuh’s meeting, postponed from Saturday owing to inclement weather, took place yesterday under very unfavorable conditions. -There was a norw ester blowing, with light rain throughout, varied with heavy showers. The course was soon a quagmire and the various events were run off under very depressing conditions. Tlsert were large lielils and the races were well contested. A cry few favorites got home, there being a couple ot excellent double figure dividends. Ihe
