Tt is reliably stated that peace negotiations have been opened between Free State and Irregulars, and Capuchin, a priest, has drafted proposals which the Irregular leader declared satisfactory. The leader was afforded a sale conduct
in order to traverse tlie southern area and consult other leaders, who submitted alternative proposals which proved unacceptable to the Free State. Negotiations are proceeding.
