A’estkti Interests. At Hastings Mr Forbes, M.P., pointed out that Mr Massey was not such a. fanner’s friend as many believed. The power behind the party was vested interests. Air Massey had done nothing to protect farmers from the shipping ring, or the banking ring. AA’hv. in this country two cement companies had combined and paid £15,000 to prevent another cement company from competing with them. This meant an extra 4s per ton on cement, and tho buyers had to pay lor this. A’et Air Massey said he was a friend of the farmer.
