BY TELEGRAM’;-- PER PRESS ASSOCIATION, TIMARU, October 13. The campaign for the Temuka seat was opened to-night, when a largelyattended meeting was addressed by Messrs AY. A. Veitch M.P., and G. AY. Forbes M.P., in the interests of the Liberal-Labour padty. Mr T. H. Langford, a young returned soldier, who has been officially adopted as the party’s candidate, also addressed the meeting, briefly, pledging himself to the party’s platform. AUCKLAND, October 13. Mr Signey M. AA r ren, will contest Parnell as a Reformer. He served during tho war, rising to the rank of Major. THAMES, October 14. A. J. Whiteside, an unofficial Lib-eral-Labour candidate for Thames, has retired in favour of W. A. Allen, the chosen candidate.
