There was keen interest, owing to the local team having previously beaten North Auckland by one point for the Northern Union Challenge Cup. A fast exciting game resulted. The score at half time was: South Auckland, 15; Auckland, 5. The final scores were: South Auckland, 28; Auckland, 16. The hacks on each side were fairly even. Tn the Rugby game, the Wellington West Coast touring team defeated the Wellington Son!horn touring team in the tin til match of the season by 31 to 12. The former team displayed the best combination, tile forwards beingvery keen. In-tho first spoil the scores were 21 to 3. Tries were secured for the winners by Wylie (-), Gibson, Mcßae, McCabe, and Connop. Murphy converted five tries, also kicking a penalty. For the Southern team. Gibson and Mahoney scored tries, and Thomas corner-kicked a penalty.

CANTERBURY REP. CAME. TTAfARTT, Oft. 1. The Soccer rep. match, Canterbury v. South Canterbury, resulted in a win for South Canterbury by two goals to nil.
