CHINESE CABINET AIOVE. PEKING, Sept. 25

Despite a warning from the Foreign Legations, and against the advice of the Parliamentarians who declare the step is unconstitutional, the Chinese Cabinet has announced the suspension of tlie Russian Boxer Indemnity, totalling seven million taels; annually. Tlie Cabinet announces also the issuance of a loan for ten million dollars, which will he absorbed by the Peking bankers. It is expected the; loan will bring the Government eight millions, which the bankers insist must be spent i* payment of the police and soldiers protecting the city and on other local administrative expenses. It is understood the Russian Soviet lias threatened reprisals for the suspension of tlie indemnity.

MURDER AND SUICIDE. NEW YORK, Sept. 20. At Siincock village, in New Hampshire State, a quarrel over a piece ol flannel lias resulted in the death of two women. Airs Coward purchased tlie piece of goods from a neighbour, Mrs Carpenter, and when the latter called to collect the money, a dispute ensued. Airs Carpenter departed, and Mrs Coward seized a revolver and shot her neighbour in the hark, killing her. Then she locked herself up. and committed suicide with the same weapon.
