\UKTRAJ.IAN A.VP N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION. GLOAMING AND BEAUFORT. (Received this day at 12.25 p.m.) SYDNEY. Sept 6. Tho keen interest taken in the battle on Saturday next in the Chelmsford Stakes between Boaulord and Gloaming, has been enhanced by the New Zealander’s latcu'f, track performance. From a moving start Gloaming gave Cupidon a three lengths break. The latter showed the way for half a mile in 48:{, but with a furlong to go and the watch showing 1.15 Gloaming was clear, and going on finished seven furlongs in 1.29, well within himself. Beauford, ati Newcastle, with a heavy weight up galloped a mile in 1.451, the last seven furlongs in 1.32.
