At a mccing of the New Zealand Rugby Union, the Executive letter received bv the Minister of Internal Affairs from the British Ambassador in Paris, stating that information had beiui received from the French Minister of Foreign Affairs advising that the French; Rugby Union, did not consider it possible to send a team to New Zealand, as a sufficient number of good players were not willing to be absent from France for so long a period. M. Charpentier (Secretary of the French Union) sent a similar explanation.

The Poverty Bay Union complained that Hawko’s Bay refused to givo it any share of the gate takings at the Ranfnry Shield match. It was decided to reply that the usual financial conditions must apply. An application by the Wairarapa Union for a loan of £2OOO was approved, provided the conditions as to' tho proposed new ground were satisfactory.
