Adams as referee in to-day’s match with the West Coast lias caused hitter feeling in local football circles. Adams is not a member of the Coast Referees Association, and is not ail active referee. The West Coast Union protested against the action, hut Perry refused To allow Wellington to play if his demand were nol agreed to. The Coast Union is laying the whole matter before the Wellington Rugby Union.
