Mr Prank Reed, who for the past sixteen years has occupied the position of inspecting engineer for the Mines Department, subsequently receiving the additional appointments of Consulting Engineer for State Collieries and Chief Inspector of Coal Mines, is about to retire upon superannuation from the Public Service, although several years short of the superannuation age. Mr Reed proposes to commence practice in Wellington on his own account.
