AMERICAN ATTITUDE. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 White House has announced that United States is very informally keeping constantly in touch with the European economic situation, awaiting the time when it will be able to take a more formal active part in the readjustment. There are no indications of an immediate move on the part of United States being contemplated, but eventually a way may be found, whereby United States can offer relief.
