KEENAN AND DEMSKY. AUCKLAND, Aug 28. The professional light-weight boxing contest of 15 rounds for £2OO between Dem.sky and Keenan was won bv Demsky on a foul in the 12th round, when Keenan butted his opponent in a clinch. . . . The referee immediately declared Deinsky the winner. Tp to the time of the breach, there was very little between the men. Demsky ‘led in the early rounds during which there wan much clinching. After the third round Keenan began to even up the points. Nothing sensational occurred till the ninth Then Keenan dropped Demsky with a left hook to the jaw. As Demskv rose, Keenan rushed at Demsky, who claimed a foul. The claim was disallowed. . Keenan again rushed in. Demsky was later dropped again, but the gong went just as be fell, j Both men boxed strongly till the 1 breach occurred. Kenan claimed lie bad been butted ; bv Demsky earlier.
