A TRAGEDY. (Received this day at 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug 26. George Cline, a movie director, unfolded a real ilfo drama before the police coroner, lie stated he killed John Bergen, n well-known actor. He said lie summoned Bergen to his house and accused him of giving wine to Airs Cline, and then attacking her. Hei challenged Bergen to a revolver duel in an empty room upstairs. Fie alleged Bergen treacherously tried to kill him whilst mounting the stairs, but he shot first, wounding Bergen, who died in a few minutes. He further asserted that Bergen in the presence of Mrs Cline’s brother, admitted everything.
