.uessrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday: Store Sheep—A small yarding mostly ewes in lamb, and hoggets. The market was firm throughout and any good fresh sorts of sheep were eagerly sought after. Best young ewes up to 29s Dd, others from 20s to 255; best hoggets from 15s 6d to 17s; otliep; front 12s 6d to 14s 6d. Only a few wethers were yarded which sold up to last weeks rates.
Store cattle —A fair entry mostly old decremd cows and young cattle, pack ward condition was prevalent throughout tlie entry. A good enquiry for 3$ •years steers of which none were offering. Very lijttle competition except from one speculator to another on a basis compatible with recent sales. Beef—A fair yarding the quality very good all round. Prices perhaps were a shade bettor than last week. Prime beef realised .15s Id to 40s per ICQlbs.
pigs—Baconers a small yarding and prices improved. No heavy baconers were yarded, baconers £4 to ,C 4 10s, light baconers £3 10s to £3 15s, average price GJ<l to 7d. Porkers had an average yarding. Prices at the stnrt of the sale improved, dropping towards the finish. Heavy porkers £3 to £3 8s ; mediums £2 10s to £2 15s; light £1 15s to £2 os: average price 7jd to Bd. Store pigs, a fairly large yarding and prices were slightly easier. Weaners 15s to 20s, slips 22s to 265; medium stores 28s to 345. No large stores were offering. Fat sheep—A much smaller yarding than last week, and the quality generally was not so good, with n few outstanding exceptions. Extra prime wethers to 33s Od, good from 21s to 28s; medium and inferior from 20s; prime fat ewes to 265; good 20s to 245; medium and inferiors from 14s 6d.
