August 23 .McConachy returns from England on September 7tli, owing to a lack of engagements. “Sporting Life” deprecates his exclusion from the leading professional programmes, and says:— “Such treatment is inimcinl to the best traditions of the game. .McConachy found a certain amount of antipathy to his style, hut he lias practised assiduously for many months to make good in all-round game, with excellent results.”
