POLLARD’S PICTURES. GRAND ENGLISH PRODUCTION THURSDAY. A fascinating story of crime is offered in “The Wakefield Case,’’ which cobles to the Princess Theatre on Thursday with Herbert Rawlinson as the star. This photoplay is the work of Shannon Fife, an author long experienced in writing for the screen. Ho has woven together remaarkable' threads of melodramatic incidents, all of which revolve about the detection of crome “The Wakefield Case” carries what is known in the underworld as the Master Mind, a figure who is dominant over his associates and who conceives and executes the daring exploits of his profession. It hot only boasts of oho Master Mind, but three as well. They all scheme and plan to overthrow each other as well as the entire police forces of two continents. Against these sinister forces of the underworld, Herbert Rawlinson, in the character of Neil Hartley, matched his wits The outcome affords the spectator a continuation of thrills from beginning to end. “The Wakefield Case” is marked for its lively action and its dominant note of mystery and suspense. It is finely acted by a well-known cast of players. The supporting pictures are the latest Gaumont Graphic (Tropical) showing all the latest events from different parts of the Earth and a special two part Christie Comedy entitled The Reckless Sex.” The orchestra will add greatly to the evening’s umiHo-
