Curiously enough wo have drifted into the political backwater during the last decade, when we have a su-called Reform Government in power. We have had plenty of legislation, but can anybody point to a number of fundamental measures which would place the Dominion on a pedestal. The interests of the farmers and the land owners have been solieitioH.sly considered, but what measures of social, economic, industrial and electoral reform can we show? —Auckland Paper.
