Bolshevism lias travelled far from its original tenets. Property has been re-established, the claims of expert knowledge iuid skill have been admitted, and the Soviet Government is bargaining with capitalist Governments and private financial corporations in other countries At this rate Russia, except that it repudiates its debts, will soon resemble any other society organised on a capitalistic basis. It is true that the prospect of a good harvest and the possession of potential wealth in vast oil resources have made Bolshevik leaders more truculent and independent wfTen bargaining with the Allied Powers. Nevertheless, the stern lessons ol ex-, porionce have been heeded, and Russia is no longer professing strict Coniuiu..lsnl. —Svdnev Paper.
