The House met at 2.30 p.m. Tlie following Public Bills were introduced and read a first time on the motion of Hon E. P. Lee:—Sea Carriage of Goods Bill, Mercantile. Law Amendment Bill; Settled Land Amendment Bill. The Daylight Baking Bill, introduced by Mr McC'oombs- was, after debate, read a second time and referred to the Labour Bills Committee. The House rose at 10.15 p.m.
