In reply to Air Etlie, the Him J. G.| Coates said that where the Goveijunont was erecting post offices and other public buildings for the purpose of absorbing unemployed artisans, it was the desire of. the ‘Government that local labour should he employed. These buildings would he created under contracts. Of course, the Government had no control over the contractors as to what labour they employed. TA XATI ON C()A1 MITTKE.
