This afternoon the New Zealand Maori Itnghy footballer reps, played the first match after their return frdm their Australian tour, against a North Auckland rep fifteen and won by thirteen points to nine. The Maoris practically met their match in all departments, the Northerners leading at half time by six points to live. The Northerners had scored a penalty goal and an unconverted try, and the Maoris a converted try. The second half was played throughout in a torrential downpour. with thunder and lightning. The Maoris put on a penalty goal making the score eight to six in their favour. Then they added a converted try, which made them thirteen to six. Towards the close, tile Northerners scored another try, which was not converted, the final score reading: Maoris 13; North Auckland 0.
