Walter Sidney Mastermnn, was sentenced to three years’ penal servitude on a charge of embezzlement of funds belonging to the Board of Fisheries. BRITISH REVENUE DECREASE. LONDON, July 1. The British revenue for the year was £105,154,0tX), the principal items being: Customs, £31,309,000; excise, £30,738,000 estate duties £16,591,000 property and income tax, £57,433,000; excess profits duty, £954,000. The increases are:—Customs, £2,964000; and estate duties £5,667,000. The decreases are:—Excise, £8,158,000, property and income tax, £6,467,000 and excess profits duty. £16,100.000.
