AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION FIGHTS at SYDNEY STADIUM. SYDNEY, Juno 11. Instead of a 20, three minutes rounds contest at the Stadium, two contests of 20, two minutes rounds were staged. Pat Mills (lOst Gilbs) beat Jack Dillon (fOst Gib) oil points, after a hard contest, in which heavy blows wore exchanged. Dillon was several times almost knocked out. The second contest was between Herb Thompson (list 131 h) and .Tack ITill (list Oilh). The latter was disqualified in the eleventh round owing to his second entering the ring before tbe end of the round. In the lltl) round a hard right to the chin dropped Hill for eight seconds and it was at this stage that the second entered the ring. JAMTTO BEATS RIDLEY. ' MELBOURNE, June 11. The "Westport Boxing Association has already taken the preliminary steps to match Laurie (’adman and Brian Mccienrv for the heavy-weight championship of New Zealand. The event will . probably come off during November.
