An Im. cr Govkiinmknt, A Government that cannot make ends meet alter heaping taxation on the people as the Reform Government has done- £lB 9s per head of the population in the latest, year for which the figures are available—is simply not lit for its job. To say that it cannot balance the accounts because it cannot, run the railways in a business-like fashion may be true enough jiut that is merely accentuating the faults of the Government not palliating them.—Lyttelton Times.
