Preston, Michel, Singer and Murdoch," Messrs Haile, Kenton, Pilkington, Ritchie, Macfarlane, Maekny, Holmes, Richards and Herds. Era. ser and Jack, ; His Worship the -Mayor was appointed Chairman. It was resolved to divide the town into eight blocks, the Treasurer to issue lists to the ladies and others volunteering to collect subscriptions. .Messrs Evans and Ritchie were asked to confer regarding the circulation of lists in the country districts. ■ | It was decided to enlist the help of the schools, and to write the teachers • in regard to juvenile collections.
