AIIAIIUIIA FAT STOCK SALK
The usual fortnightly fixture at the above yards took place yesterday when ■l7 head of cattle and 181) sheep were yarded. Prices ruled very much on a par with those recorded at last sale. There was again a preponderance of cow and heifer beef which sold at irregular prices throughout the sale. Ox l>ecf, however, was slightly firmer while sheep, the yarding being nearly ..I! ewes, sold well. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co sold as follows—On neount Mr ,1. G. Meharry, 58 ewes at 18s; on account of Mr P. Olsen, til ewes at 15s Cd; on account of Mr \V. Olderug, 3 bullocks at £9 10s, 10 at £9, 1 at £8 17s Gd; 4 cows at £l. On account Mr W. 11. Knrnbach 2 light steers at £5 17s Gd. On account Mr .1 no. McGregor 2 bullocks at £7 ]os. 2 heifers at £G 7s Gd. 1 cow at £5 17s Gd ; 3 heifers at £G 7s Gd, 1 cow at ,C 5 Gd; 3 heifers at £1 I.os, and privately on account Mr A. kittle 2L steers at £5 10s.
.Messrs M. Houston ami Co. report: At tile usual fortnightly sale at the above yards yesterday our entry consisted of 25 fat cattle and 55 fat sheep and lambs. The yarding comprised medium and light heifers and cows and prices realised were on a par with those of recent sales. We sold on account of Messrs Douglas llros. 34 fat sheep at 22s (id, 21 lambs at 1 Is (id ;on account of Mrs K. Nolan 1 heifer at (.'(> 15s, 2 at C 4 ss, .'! at C 5, il at C 5 17s (id, 2 store heifers at C2 10s, 2 fat heifers at Co 7s (id, 1 veuler at C 3 ss, 2 heifers tit C 7 ss, I cow at C.'i 15s, 2 itt Cl Ids.
