He eulogised th,e treatment lie received in New Xenia ltd and said if he had known when lie commenced his rowing career that the conditions for scullers in New Zealand were so good as ho found them, he would have been a resident of New Zealand to-day. He thinks that with a different system of training. Hndfield would do a lot better. WANGANUI, May 9. Mr K. 0. Young, secretary of the World’s Sculling Championship Committee to-day received the following cable from Jim Paddon stating that he had arrived home to-day, and his Richmond River Committee heartily thank the New Zealanders for the generous treatment meted out to him.
