[ lIY TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, May 1. Tlie Council of New Zealand Golf Association definitely decided to-night to hold the championship tournament at Palmerston North; to commence on Monday, September 11. With regard to the qualifying for the amateur championships, it was decided that the whole four rounds of the open championship should be also qualifying round for tlie amateur, the best 16 to qualify and all in tlie playing off to lie 36 holes. Tlie entries for the amateur championship are to lie strictly limited to 64 holes and no competitor whose middle handicap is more than eight may enter. (For continuation of news, see fourtb page)
