WEDDING BELLS.

AV ARNE—RYAN.

The marriage of Mr l.yvian Varne, of Longford, to Aliss Nora Ryan, eldest daughter of'Mrs J. Ryan, of Lyell, was celebrated at St Caniee’s Church, Westport, on Wednesday last. The bride was given away by her brother, Air A\ r . Ryan, and was attended by her sister, Aliss Maude Ryan, as bridesmaid. Mr George .Martin attended as best man. Mr and Mrs AA’aine later left for 'Christchurch on their honeymoon.

VENIS—IIETTH. Mr Robert Aenis, of Oweka, and Aliss lk-tts, daughter of Air 11. Betts, of Iliangahiin Junction, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at AVostport oil Wednesday. The biide was given away by her father. After the ceremony friends were entertained at a sumptuous wedding breakfast at which the usual toasts were honored.

ST E 1 ’IT E N SON— HR OAY X. A very pretty and popular wedding was celebrated at St Can ice’s Church, AYestport, on AA’edncsday morning at 8 o’clock, the contracting parties being Mr Herbert Stephenson, of TaylorKnrights’, and Aliss Frances Brown, second daughter of Mr T. Brown, ol Romilly street, AYestport. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a white crepe do clieno dress relieved with silver trimming. The bride wore the orthodox wreath and veil. Aliss Alary O’Donoghuo, the bridesmaid, wore an apricot crepe do clione dress, with beaded trimming, and a pretty black- hat to match. The bride and bridesmaid carried lovely bouquets of white and pink dnlilias. Mr Frank C'alnon carried out the duties of best men. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Father ftroughton.
