Liston, Roman Catholic Co-adjutator Bishop, was called to answer a charge that lie made seditious utterances in a speech at the Town Hall on March 17th. Defendant did not appear, hut was represented by Mr Con la,n. Mr Meredith appeared for the Crown. Tlie latter read quotations from the speech as published in the press, by consent of counsel. The case was adjourned till the 20th when it is stated a. date will lie definitely fixed for the hearing.
