ft ■ *—* An interesting and important notification to the travelling public appears in our advertising columns today, namely tbe announcement that the Allen Taxis have opened for business in Sewell Street, Hokitika. The' fact, that Mr H. 1). McMannaway, well known electrical engineer, has been appointed Director is sufficient guarantee that the best in motors will he at the disposal of those requiring car service. A complete brand new equipment of motors is being placed in commission and patrons are assured of charges being reasonable. Every class of general hire is being provided for and, in addition an. up-to-date workshop is to be erected for repair work. The Director will be joined in a, few days by Mr G. Gifford from Palmerston North, a recognised leading mechanic, who will supervise that portion of the work.
