[nr tki.eorapti—per press association] RUGBY RULES. WELLINGTON, April 6. At a meeting of the local Rugby, Union there was a discussion on the amended rules played by Auckland Union. Mr Heeuan moved that the delegates to the New Zealand Union be instructed to recommend it to refuse permission to any Union to play under the modified rules. He objected strongly to a continuance of the system, and contended that the danger from League which bad frightened Auckland, was exaggerated. Other members supporting him, pointed out that Africa and New South Wales were against the alt ration, and had to be considered. Some members did not like the idea of iying the delegates hands, and an amendment was offered merely disapproving of the amended rule re kicking into touch. It was lost and the, motion carried, by a large majority.
