— AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CARLE ASSOCIATION GKO. COOK CANCELS CONTEST. LONDON, April 3. Mr Lucas has informed the Australian Press he has written to the promoters of tlie Cook-Nilles fight, cancelling the contest, because he had confirmation that the promoters had arranged a match between Carpentier and Xilles for September. An Australian admirer of Cook’s cabled Lucas asking him to challenge Carpentier again in flic event of Cook defeating Beckett.
