Drs Foote and Dunn, at the inquest held by -Mr 0. 15. Sinclair, Coroner, yesterday afternoon, attributed the causa to syncope and the edoct of the anaesthetic on a weak heart, which was temporarily ■,weakened by pneumonia, and complicated by empyema. Senior Sergeant : Ryan conducted inquiry for the police. .Deceased was a, native of Upper Nor- . wood, England, 50 years of age. lie Iliad been only nine years in Now Zealand. He is survived by a wife and son 11 years of age.
