POLLARD’S PICTURES. On Monday the programme will be an all-British one, presenting as it does—the British Hepworth’s stirring Tom Gallon’s story “The Touch of a Child.” Alma Taylor (the heroine of ‘\Alf’s Button” ). is seen in the leading role of “The Touch of a Child.” This story from the novel and play by Tom Gallonn has unusual and striking plot around which there is a multitude of action and incident. One of the greatest dramatic moments that the screen has ever portrayed is seen in this picture, when two strong men decide that one or the other must take his own life. A little child who unbeknown to herself is to be the means of deciding the issue is really the means of bringing happiness to four facing a lifelong shadow of sorrow and cloora. The supports include a comedy “Mai's Boy,” an Educational and one of the latest’s gazettes.

Mr McLean presents this ev- | ening of the Universal special. “The Fighting Lover.” Four of the screen’s prettieat girls support Frank Mayo, the handsome young Universal star, in “Tim Fighting Loved.” First comes Jacqueline Logan, the spectacular beauty, late of the Ziegfield Follies Gertrude Olmsted, the prize beauty of Illinois: Jean Cnlhoun, the North Carolina charmer, and Ruth Ashby a Californian debutante. The story starts out with Frank Mayo as a- rich young fellow who casually bets 10,000 | dollars that he can reach out into tJworTd and produce three girls with one of whom his friend will fall in love in 30 days. He advertises for three girls and 1000 answer. From among them he picks three, any "of whom would make a young man happy just to look at her. The programme also includes a Centurv Comedy starring Brownie, the wonder dog. and also the first chapters of a startling new serial “King of the Circus” starring Eddie Polo. MATINEE ON SATURDAY. A matinee will he given on Saturday commencing at 2 p.m. sharp, when the same programme will he shown. The matinee will be given every Saturday.
