“WHILE THE BILLY BOILS.”
To-night at tho Princess Theatre Beaumont Smith presents the great Australian story “While the Billy Boils” in picture form. The action of the play takes place principally in and around the vicinity of the township of Redclay, and embraces some magnificent mountain scenery, smiling pastoral and agricultural lands. Glimpses of’the beautiful Hawkesbury River. Intimate scenes in and around Box hi 11 Station—the century,old home of the Terry family, and thci famous beauty-spots of historic Windsor. The action of the story is rapid fire, and carries one along with ever-in-creasing interest, from the opening scene to the novel and quite-unexpoct-ed final. The story is founded on a collection of Henry Lawson’s romance of the hush, contained in that most popular and widely-read volume, “While the Billy Boils.” It exudes good-fellowship, mirth, pathos and dramatic fervour, and is replete with every human interest that goes to make up the web and woof of the great human drama that we are all living. The story starts out with Frank Mayo as a ncli young fellow who casually bets 10,000 dollars that he can reach out into th world and produce three girls with one of whom his friend will fall in lore in 30 days. He advertises for three girls and 1000 answer. From among them ho picks three, any of whom would make a young man happy j„st to look at her. The programme also includes a Century Comedy starring Brownie, the wonder dog, and also the first chapters of a startling new serial “King of the Circus” starring Eddie Polo. MATINEE ON SATURDAY. \ matinee will be given on Saturday commencing at 2 p.m. sharp, when the same programme will be shown. The matinee will be given every Saturday.
