THE BOARD in pursuance of the power conferred by the -‘Education \et, 1914,” and its amendments, HEREBY DIRECTS that a PUBLIC MEETING OK HOUSEHOLDERS he held in each School District m the •Canterbury Education District on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12th. a t Halfpast Seven o’clock in the evening, for the election of a School Committee- for each District. Except as hereinafter mentioned the place of Meeting shall be the School in each district, and this is. understood to mean the Main School in any District, which has more than one School. The place of Meeting at Hokitika shall he the Town Hall. The Board further calls upon the Householders in each District to SEND IN to the Chairman of the School Committee (or the Commissioner as the case may be) IN WRITING on or before WEDNESDAY, the sth APRIL, not later than 8 p.m., the NAMES OF PERSONS being householders, NOMINATED by them to serve upon the j Committee. Such nominations must he signed by the Proposer and by the Candidate, and must be in the form set forth in the Third Schedule to the Act, or to the effect thereof. In addition to such nominations in School Districts in which the average attendance for the year 1921 did not exceed 120, any householder present at the Annual Meeting may nominate any household--0,. who consents by word of mouth or in writing to be nominated.
