A fire at Ruatura- destroyed three shops occupied by Kirk Bros, Hunter and .Johnstone. The damage is over eight thousand pounds.
PILLAGING CARGO. GISBORNE, March 20. A wharf labourer, Leonard George Carter Huston was sentenced to fourteen days for pillaging cargo from the steamer Ripple.
