VALUATIONS. Mr J. Peake (County Valuer) put in ■the mining valuation roll. The following objections were dealt with, AllPark appearing for the valuer. Westland Gold Prospecting Syndicate (Mr Murdoch) valuation £11,510. R Wild gave evidence that the property was unde,- offer for 12 months at £B,OOO, and they would he prepared to accept £7,000 to-day.—Reduced to £7,000. , Wm., M. C. Iveech, J. A. Murdoch, A. J. Knowles, (Rimu United Sluicing Coy.) £4l94.—Reduced to £2,994. j Manzoni. —Agreed to at £IOOO. Awn tuna. Dredging Coy. (Air Pilkington), reduction agreed on leaving total at £IOOO. . Estate of W. Good sir (Air Pilkmgton) £3000; reduced to £2,500. Success O.D. Coy. Ltd. in liquidation.—Fixed by consent at £SOO.
PERSIAN OILFIELDS. TEHERAN Afarch 15. Government have received two hundred thousand sterling in advance from Washington, against future oil royalties indicating that Standard and An-do-Persian Companies have reached an agreement regarding conflicting .interests in Persian oilfields.
