AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION. GREB BEATS TOM GIBBONS. NEW YORK, March 13. Harry Greb defeated Tom Gibbons to-night in a bout scheduled for 15 rounds. This came as a surprise to the boxing experts, who had unanimously prophesied that Gibbons would win the fight. The result is considered to be important, for many believe that the winner will be given an opportunity of meeting Dempsey for the championship. At least the winner will probably meet Carpentier in the near future, when the next opponent to the champion is likely to be chosen.
