Cap for host five men teams aggregate at the four long ranges (800 and 90'' yards) shoots was won by Christchurch No 1 with 924 points, Karori 885, 2; Hnwera 874, 3. The North versus Smith Island match for trims of 20 men aside, 7 shots each at 500 and 600 yards, was won by the North after a keen light. The south had iv slight lend: at the 500 yards, hut the North pulled it up at- the longer range, and won hy 121 1 to 1201.

The King’s Prize was won by Roots with a. score of 539. West was runner up with 537.

The King’s Prize for 1922 was fired in ideal weather. Roots, who had to lead off first when shooting started got 47 and set all argument at rest with an aggregate of 539- though excitement prevailed during the shoot, as West was on the next target, and iff Roots had failed, the Blenheim man would have got into the lead. The latter got an excellent 49, ending two behind Roots. Hnlmshnw got up with 48 atul filled third place with an aggregate of 531, followed by Pimm 528, Loveday 526, Guy 524, Bryan 521, William, Kyles and Guiney each 520, Hunt and Neilson each 519, Henderson, Morgan and Baric each 518, Croxton 517, Duncan, Macelield, James Bryden, each 515, Simmons, J. Feast 513, F. J. King, Ritchie Ronalds, MUroy, Atkinson 511, Hood 509, Turner, Goldfinch, Mayliew 508, Law, C’a.usley, Caughley 507, Barnett, Moss (Greymouth), McT,eay 505, Broughton, H. Feast 503, A. J. Green 502, Dodd 498, Dockery .493, Patchett 488, Munro 487. Governlock was absent.

The Belt and other prizes were then presented by Sir Walter Buchanan.
