Hon Churchill, Air Chamberlain, Air Worthington Evans, Lord .Montagu, and Sir H. Greenwood, had a ninety minutes’ conference to-day with Alessrs Griffiths and Duggan. Speculation is rife regarding the actual purport of the meeting between tlie British representatives and Free Staters. It is predicted in some quarters that the result is so that happy government will proceed with the Irish Bill forthwith.
Collins interviewed, declared—“ Dam returning to Ireland satisfied that the British Government is standing by tlie terms of tine Treaty. On our side we who accept and uphold the Treaty and will equally stand by its terms, and intend with the help, of our fellow countrymen to carry them out in the letter and spirit.”
