The newspapers are well satisfied regarding the Boulogne preliminary. It is believed France lias received all the assurance she could possibly require respecting Genoa Conference. The “Oeuvre” states Hon Lloyd George told AL Poincairte at once that the pact could not take the form of a military convention and must be essentially moral. While Poincaire won on the question of Genoa, he gave way slightly on the Eastern question-.

The A 11-Indin -Cong ress committee met at Delhi when Gandhi submitted a- resolution framed by the working committee, which while confirming tho Bardoli decision, suspended mass civil disobed i/enco and proposes to sanction a resumption practically of all other non-co-operation activities. The discussion lasted till mid-night and adjourned to the following day, when a. large number of amendments will be submitted, the majority whereof go even further than the resolution.

The press are practically united in denouncing Government- action in bring ing police in connection with the uproar in the Diet especially for issuing visitors tickets to the Diet gallery to two hundred detectives, which is termed an illegal attempt to coerce the Diet minority.
During the past two days, filly thousand individual petitions to Government to grant manhood suffrage have been filed in the Diet, the petitioners being passed in single file through police fines to the Die! and out. Some petitions were signed in blood.
IRISH OLYMPICS. (Received This Day at 6.5 n.m.) LONDON, Feb. 25
Failtean games, otherwise the Irish Olympics, will he hold at Dublin on 7th August. Each country is invited to send a minimum team of forty-five. Tho Gaedic Athletic Association in announcing the fixture claims the world has hitherto been ignorant of Irish prowess, which was obscured under foreign flags. Tho Irish now appear in the limelight .demonstrating their physical superiority over all men.
