STRANDED VALMARIE, NELSON, Feb. 22. The Tutanekai arrived at Nelson this morning, anchoring yestereve off the Valmarie. Captain Bollins reports the vessel is high and dry but in a good position, stern on. The next spring tides will be eighteen inches less than when the vessel stranded. Providing there is not much sea on, and with good anchors out, there* is a possibility the swell may take her off. The tides at the Spit are influenced by the wind. If hi westerly blows, the tides will be poor, south easterly winds throwing' Band all round the vessel. When the Tutanekai left, the Opawn was standing by.

ARBUCKLE AGATX REMANDED WELLINGTON, Feb. 22

John Arbuckle was again before the Court to-day charged with theft of Union funds. Counsel for the Miners’ Federation asked for a further remand to Ist March. Tt was stated the amount of the total charges will be considerably reduced from that mentioned previously, and counsel for the defence asked for a reduced bail.
