FURTHER RESULTS,
[by telegraph—per press association] f WELLINGTON, Feb. 15. The Band Contest was continued today and to-night in the presence of a large number of spectators, both the Town Hall and the Concert Chamber being crowded. Results:— A. Grade Contest, Selection “Tschaikowslcy;” Solo contests B. Flat Bass (own selection): —C. Hansen, Senr. (Woolston) 80pt«. 1; S. Geary (Welling ton Patriotic), 79, 2. These were the only entries.
Fluigal Horn Solo (own selection) : R. Ward (Christchurch Tramways), 93 pts. 1 ; V. Wilson (Auckland Artillery), 89, 2; G. Goldberg (Invercargill Hibernians), 94, 2; A. Williams, (Auckland Artillery). 90. -3; R. Wells (Invercargill Hibernian), 89, 4. The result of the A. Grade competition in the Hand Contest is:—• Wellington Watersiders ISO Woolston 179 Wellington Tramways 177 Wellington Artillery 174 Wanganui Garrison 170 Invercargill Hibernian T 64 Auckland Artillery 162 Canterbury Mounted Rifles 160 Gisborne City 159 Queen Alexandra (Wanganui) ... 158 Hastings *..AL 156 Second Otago Battalion 155 Tlie Judge said he was rather disappointed with the contest.
