Fire" at Ruatapu.
A fire early this morning completely destroyed the residence of Mr J. L. Turner at Ruatapu. The building was enveloped in flames when discovered and the occupants only eseped in their night attire. Nothing was saved, except the motor car that was in a detached shed. The residence of Mr Oates adjoining was in grave danger and the furniture and effects were removed hurriedly but luckily the efforts of the neighbours were successful in saving the building.
