The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Summer Meeting was held to-day in fine weather. The tote handled £29,487, against £20,010 last year. Results:— Hornby Handicap.—Grim Joke 1, Raconteur 2, Glen tanner 3. Roniform threw his ride, V. Thwaites, : after doing a preliminary, and the lad had his shoulder injured. As another rider was not available the horse took no part in the race. Won by a head. Time 2.12. Trial Stakes.—Giant Killer 1, Bluff 2. Conflict 3. Won by a length. Time 1.30.

Midsummer Handicap.—-Palestrina 1, Mazama 2 .Trespass 8. Won by half a length. Time 2.34. Middle Park* Plate.— Pluto' 1, Winning Hit 2* Prosperity 3. Time 1.13 1-5.
