It is a story of mystery iij. adventure involving the government of two continents, and the woman isthp centre About which it revolves. Her good intentions act as boomerangs. It, is when she ib at bay, torn by conflicting emotions, the prey of fear and an-, Wish, but with unquenchable devotion that Miss Griffith gives of her very best, —and there is no better. It is n gripping story, with a number of big sceneg acted with a tenseness and honesty which brin<v the whole production to great heights of realistic drama. June Caprice and Creighton Hale, both favourite film stars who have achieved much popularity through their striking team work, are seen in “The Love Cheat” to-night, ah adaption of a clever French comedy-drama. On Friday evening Mr McLean pro-; rteiits a capital programme, headed by | a five reel Universal drama, featuring} Eva Novak in “Society Secrets,” a, story of American high life in the big cities. The story is beautifully mounted and presents most attractive pictures of the beautiful homes of the leaders of fashions. The second attraction will he a great Century comedy starring Joe Martin, the wonderful monke£. The serial “The Diamond Queen” will be continued and also a fine travelogue will be screened.
