The Senate has adopted Senator McCormick’s resolution asking tho State Department to furnish the Senate with information regarding the expenditure revenues and deficits of the European States, and also with data regarding the cost of land armaments in comparison with the deficits, and the sums owed to the United States. The Senate Finance Committe have favourably reported on the Foreign Debt Refunding Bill, providing for tho collection of $11,000,000,000 loaned to the Allies. 'l'lie Bill creates a commission of live to arrange the terms whereby the debt shall be paid. . The committe has eliminated certain provisions to which the Treasury ol) jected, nameljy, for the semi-annual collection of interest, and fixing the interest rate at not less than the highest rate paid for the Liberty Bonds. The committee will have power to airange both matters. The measure provide that the bonds wherein the debt will be convertible shall mature in 1847, when the longest Liberty Loan matures. SECOND ARBUCKLE JURY. SAN FRANCISCO, January 16. The Arbuckle jury has finally been sworn in. It consists of eleven men and one woman, and one mail and one woman as alternates.
